ABOUT VALERIA

Valeria has been in the golf industry for for 30+ years.  She began golfing at the age of 6, playing golf in Medellin, Colombia. Valeria played competitive golf representing Colombia, where she won 2 South American Championships at the age of 14 and 15.  In 1999, Valeria moved to the United States, where she began pursing her professional career in golf.  Since Valeria’s arrival to the US, she has made quite a mark on the Golf Industry.  Most notably being a participant on the Golf Channel’s reality TV Show, “The Big Break 3”.  In addition to her time on the Golf Channel and dabbling with a competitive playing career on the LPGA, Valeria also operated a successful Golf Academy at the Bonaventure Country Club.  
For the past five years, Valeria had found success as the Sales Manager for the Diplomat Golf and Tennis Club as well as Turnberry Isle Miami.  After experiencing almost everything the golf industry had to offer, Valeria realized her passion for teaching and helping golfers to improve their game.  She now joins the Weston Hills Golf Academy, teaches at Turnberry Isle Miami & TPC Eagle Trace where her main goal as an instructor is not to build robots who all swing the same, but rather to help her students learn about their own swing. She wants her students to know why and how she is changing their swing so that they can learn from it and help themselves later down the road. Students leave with a complete understanding of how to become a more consistent ball striker, but only require a few simple thoughts to improve.  Valeria teaches all areas of golf including Full Swing, Short Game and On Course instruction.  She coaches golfers of all ages and abilities in both a private and group setting.
